The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out
of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the
earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his
anointed. |

Yet have I set my king upon my holy
hill of Zion. |
||
|
|
I
will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this
day have I begotten thee. |

Seek
ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek
righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the
LORD'S anger. |

Zephaniah 3: |
|
|
|||
1 Woe to her that is
filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
2 She
obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD;
she drew not near to her God.
3 Her
princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw
not the bones till the morrow.
4 Her
prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the
sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
5 The
just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth
he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no
shame.
6 I
have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets
waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no
man, that there is none inhabitant.
7 I
said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their
dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early,
and corrupted all their doings.
8 Therefore
wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for
my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to
pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth
shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
Deuteronomy 32: 39 See now that I,
even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound,
and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
40 For
I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
41 If
I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render
vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42 I
will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and
that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of
revenges upon the enemy.
43 Rejoice,
O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants,
and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his
land, and to his people.
Repent:

And the
times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: |
The great prophet John: A message call of sincere
repentance, preparation for the coming of Christ Jesus, announcing the
Kingdom of God and of heaven…
|

1 In those days came
John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2 And saying, Repent
ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For
this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one
crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths
straight.
4 And
the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his
loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then went out to him
Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, 6 And were baptized of him in
Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 But
when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said
unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath
to come? 8 Bring
forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 9 And think not to say
within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God
is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10 And now also the axe
is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not
forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
11 I
indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is
mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with
the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12 Whose
fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat
into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
13 Then
cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14 But John forbad him,
saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15 And Jesus answering
said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all
righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And
Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the
heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a
dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And
lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased.

whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in
putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
