Passover Is A Person: “Jesus Christ Our Passover”
1Corinthians
5:7-8 7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump,
as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for
us: 8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither
with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened
bread of sincerity and truth.
A.
For followers of Jesus, we acknowledge that Jesus is
the Passover.
He came to take away our sins as He Himself bore our sins, suffered
as outlined by scripture and died on the cross, being buried for
three days according to scripture, and being raised again according
to scripture. In very profound demonstration of the power of God and
His foreknowledge, we see Jesus executed as the Passover sacrifice at
the very moment the corrupt religious system in Jerusalem was
“keeping”
the
Passover and sacrificing lambs outside the camp. This was a feast or
set time of God called the Passover that was determined by a lunar
calendar and observing the budding of green barley and the sighting
of a specific moon. This has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ. He
is
our Passover.
We should celebrate Him everyday! Not just one
day or a week of days. Right?
We know, of course, the
institutional religious system of Christianity later brought into its
religious motifs beliefs and practices that were prevalent in the
heathen Roman world. The pagan idols and customs were “christianized”
and incorporated into a religious calendar still enforce today
throughout Christendom. Who did this? Why, it was Satan who defiles
and sows seeds of wickedness. Matthew
13:37 37He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed
is the Son of man; 38The field is the world; the good seed are the
children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked
one
2.
Too Easy On Sin(?)
A.
This is to say that most professing Christians have a very casual
attitude towards sin. They tolerate it instead of abhorring it. The
scriptures tell us to hate sin. The Word of God teaches us that we
can put away sin by crucifying the flesh and its ways. This is a
daily thing we do before the Lord as we surrender to Him and have our
child-like faith in Him. He becomes our life and righteousness. But,
to dismiss sin and simply walk in the flesh thinking one can just ask
for forgiveness is not a biblical faith. This casualness is akin to
cheapening the blood of Jesus.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Hbr&c=10&t=KJV#comm/29
B.
Sin hardens the heart. Sin leads to self-deception. So, it is vital
to crucify the flesh and put away the sins of the flesh and walk in
newness of life as outlined in scriptures. Romans 6 is an awesome
text on how God has provided our liberty from sin in Jesus. I am
speaking in this exhortation about seeing this attitude towards
certain sins with a casual comfortability towards pet sins. You
wouldn't murder someone. You wouldn't break in your neighbor's house
and rob their belongings. So, why would you allow any perverseness in
your life? Hate sin. Love righteousness. Glory in the cross and allow
God to transform you from the inside out. But, do not let sin take
root in your heart. Crucify it. Hbr
12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Ro
6:2 How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? ;
and, Ro. 6:6-8 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him,
that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should
not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8Now if we be
dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
3.
The Apostate Religious World Will Never See What They Expect; Nor,
See What Is Really Here:
A.
The corrupted heart that leads to blindness. Isaiah
29:10-13
Great
amounts of people are deceived within “Evangelical
Christianity”. So many have believed false doctrines and
understandings of the prophetic Word. God has to be our teacher and
His Word is the standard. I am very concerned that the multitudes of
religious faith have a visual perspective of the Last Days that will
never happen. They have been taught by movies, books and teachers to
focus on things that the Word of God has not taught.
B. I was
hearing a “theologian” from Dallas Seminary named Tommy
Ice promoting some of these mythical ideas of Evangelical
Christianity.
1. He promoted that Babylon of the Book of
Revelation was likely to be a restored Babylon in the Middle East.
2.
Mr. Ice also was discussing the idea that a man from the Middle East
was likely to be the antichrist.
C. Frankly, this is like
ignoring the 'elephant' in your living room! Babylon already exists
today and is pervasive throughout the world just as the scriptures
have outlined. Babylon “sits upon the waters” influencing
the world leaders as well as corrupting the entire world with immoral
decadence. Today we have a system that has corrupted the nations in
the name of profit. The merchants of the world will wail when God
fulfills His will by having the 10 Kings who rule one hour with the
Beast rob her and burn her with fire. Much of the Socialist Agenda of
the New World Order is opposed to capitalism and seeks to bring the
masses into a one class servitude under the elite. These people will
be used to fulfill God's will against Babylon who has corrupted the
earth and will yet martyr the faithful in Jesus Christ. God will give
Babylon blood to drink for their great sin in taking the lives of the
true saints in Jesus. Babylon
is here now. To
say that Babylon is yet to come is ignoring the obvious. Thus my
point is that they that believe this are blinded and can not see the
obvious.
D. Secondly, the blinded ones that can not see the
true teaching of the Word and Spirit of God will never see what they
expect to see either. They do not see what is transpiring today with
the set-up of the Beast and its Image, nor will they see what they
imagined to see with the Antichrist, Babylon as well as a temple in
Jerusalem.
E. Tommy Ice stated in an audio I listened to that
the two witnesses described in the Book of Revelation will be used by
God to institute the temple in Jerusalem. This is absolutely
completely wrong. Read Isaiah 66 and you will see that God is not
endorsing a physical temple made by hands. He is looking for a “man”
who is broken, contrite and trembles at His Word. This “man”
is Jesus Christ. This is why we are to be found in Him as Paul urged
for himself. Be found in Christ. Isaiah
66 and the true temple of God. Note the despicable nature of
sacrifice in religion.
Isaiah
66:3 and following tell us how God the Father views sacrifices. Note
how He detests it. Now that Jesus Christ Himself has been offered to
God as a sacrifice, there remains no other sacrifice to be offered
other than praise of our lips as we serve and yield to Jesus. Study
Hebrews especially chapter 10 and note that we are once and for all
sanctified by the offering of Jesus. Hebrews
10: Teaching on the Priesthood and sacrifices accepted by God. All is
summed up in Jesus Christ!
When
Jesus died on the cross outside the camp on that Passover day, the
veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom thus signifying that
the way into the holiest was made through the flesh of Jesus. See?
God will not send His two witnesses to establish a temple made with
hands by an apostate religious system in Israel. God likened this
type of sacrifice to offering a man, a dog's neck or even swine!
It
is vital that you understand that God's will is to inhabit PEOPLE
that have faith in Him. This is the temple that God is building and
inhabiting through the Spirit of God.
F. “F” for
foolish doctrines. Look to God for the revelation of the truth. Let
God build your understanding in the scriptures and may you see what
the truth is regarding these things. You do not want to walk with the
blind leaders who promote myths. The things they project will not
come. The things that are here already are invisible to them. Make
sure you are in the faith and are not holding to the mythological
concepts of the prophecy teachers who never had the revelation of
what the Scriptures teach. They only regurgitated the things taught
in seminary.
G. Our doctrine does not come from the Vatican
nor does it come from Dallas Theological Seminary. Our doctrine comes
from the scriptures. We need the illumination of the Holy Spirit as
these things are being unsealed for the righteous in these Last Days.
The
Revelation given to the Prophet Daniel: Daniel 12: 4But thou, O
Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the
end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Daniel 12: 8And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my
Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9And he said, Go thy
way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of
the end. 10Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the
wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand;
but the wise shall understand.
H.
Don't be blind. Don't believe the false perspective on prophecy.
Search the scriptures with a prayerful heart.
a. Do not be
complacent by the belief that there is yet to be a Babylon formed in
the earth in the Middle East.
b. Do not be complacent by the
belief that there is yet to be a temple built in Jerusalem where the
“abomination that makes desolate” will occur.
c. Do
not be complacent by the belief that there is yet to be a
'antichrist' in the Middle East.
d. Do not be complacent by the
belief that Christians will be raptured before the coming of Christ,
the falling away and the revealing of the man of sin. Don't be
deceived by any man's words...
To find solace in these
projected events of a false perspective of prophetic Word is to deny
the reality of the Babylon that exists today. This perspective denies
the teaching of the temple of God that God endorses which is
spiritual. It also denies the fact that there are MANY antichrists
today. Yes, there is likely to be a man of sin known as the little
horn that sits on a seat of power authorized by Satan, the dragon,
the devil. But do not ignore the huge “elephant” that
exists today in front of all to see.
4.
Don't be blind to the
obvious. Today, there is a Beast System under way.
We do have a
world government set up today. We do have many antichrists today who
deny the
Christ Jesus.
5.
What Is Jesus Building?
A.
Jesus is building His church. Matthew
16:18
B.
Jesus is building His Body made without hands. It is a spiritual
habitation of God through the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Head of a
many membered body which is in Christ. Mark
14:58 Eph
2:22 1Cor
11:3; Eph 4:15; Eph 5:23 Christ is the Head of the Church
C.
Is the institutional Church part of this Church that Jesus is
building? One can only answer this by discernment, weighing all
things according to the Scriptures and relying upon the Holy Spirit
for true authentic judgment. John
7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous
judgment
D.
Can a Church walk in disobedience to the Lord? Can a Church not
submit to the Head Jesus Christ? Can a Church not hearken to the
voice of the Spirit? Can a Church of Jesus be involved in idolatry?
Can the Church of Jesus be of the world? Can it be given to
immorality, fornication, adultery and pornography? Consult the book
of Revelation 1-3 and read Jesus' declarations to the 7 Churches of
Asia to help you develop a biblical answer to these questions.
Repeatedly
it is written, "Hear what the Spirit says to the
churches"...
E.
Reviewing Themes For The Week of April 10, 2011 may also be of
benefit to answer these questions. How corrupt can a religious
environment be and still be a place of worship to God? Remember
Shiloh. Jer
7:12 ¶ But go ye now unto my place which [was] in Shiloh, where
I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the
wickedness of my people Israel.
6.
When Worship Becomes Vain, False and Corrupt According To Jesus.
A. Note Jesus reproof of the religious system in His day. Jesus
responded to the Pharisees' question why His disciples did not follow
the traditions of the elders by stating that they themselves had made
their worship in vain by rejecting the commandment of God in keep
their traditions.
Mark
7:1-13 1Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the
scribes, which came from Jerusalem. 2And when they saw some of his
disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen,
hands, they found fault. 3For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except
they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the
elders. 4And when they come from the market, except they wash, they
eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to
hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of
tables. 5Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy
disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread
with unwashen hands? 6He answered and said unto them, Well hath
Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people
honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the
commandments of men. 8For laying aside the commandment of God, ye
hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many
other such like things ye do. 9And he said unto them, Full well ye
reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso
curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11But ye say, If a
man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say,
a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be
free. 12And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his
mother; 13Making the word of God of none effect through your
tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
B.
Jesus chides:
1. Receiving to hold to traditions of men over the
Word of God.
2. Finding fault in others who do not follow vain
religious traditions.
3. Honoring God with lip service. Drawing
near with the mouth. But, their heart they have removed far from
God.
4. Vain worship from an insincere heart perverted by
religious deeds chosen by carnal means.
5. Teaching for doctrines
the commandments of men.
6. Laying aside the commandment of God in
order to hold to traditions of men.
7. Rejecting the commandments
of God and holding to traditions of men.
8. In thus doing, the
Word of God is made of no effect.
7.
The Sin Of Self-Will
A.
Consider the example of Jesus. He sought not His own will but the
will of Him that sent Him. He was humble and obedient to the point of
death. Glory in the cross.
8.
Submit To The Religious Rebels?
A.
It is hard for many followers of Jesus to understand what they should
do in these Last Days regarding how the Lord would have them relate
to the religious system. Many have been led to believe they must
“submit to authority” of the church world. Would Jesus
ever tell you to submit to a rebellious leader? Jesus tells you,
“Follow Me”.
B. Apostle Paul himself said to
follow him as he followed the Lord. He also stated to “mark
them” that have us as an ensample (typos in Greek). This is a
multidimensional imprint that Paul is speaking here about true
leaders. A godly leader will have the ensample as Paul in that he
will be scriptural, a servant, have you in his heart, leading a godly
life, one of character, the gospel of the cross of Christ will be the
message, truly spiritual in harmony with the Holy Spirit, and will be
crucified to the world and the world crucified unto him. We learn of
Paul's godly “ensample” by reading the epistles.
Philippians
3:17-18 Phl 3:17 ¶ Brethren, be followers together of me, and
mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
C.
Paul rather warned against false apostles and teachers. He warned of
false gospels and those who would make merchandise of the people. He
said the truth would be evil spoken of due to these rebels.
Therefore, there is no way you as a true follower of Jesus can ever
walk in partnership with rebels who lie and are mere actors playing a
deadly part. Be separate unto the Lord. He will lead you into paths
of righteousness for His name's sake. Fear not.
9.
Who's Driving The (Your) Bus?
To be led by the Spirit of God
indeed by way of the cross of Jesus on a daily basis. Rom
8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God.
A.
It is a very sad thing that the multitudes of the church world are
largely governed by their own flesh and not by the Spirit of God. So
much of what they have done in their lives is dictated by their
emotions and imaginations of their mind. They therefore have so
little experience of being led by the Spirit of God.
B. One
day, if these that are led by flesh and not by the Spirit stand
before the Lord in His eternal Kingdom, they will find most of their
works burned by fire. All the wood, hay and stubble will be burned.
God is not looking for works of flesh. He is looking for His own
works that He ordained. We are His workmanship, created unto good
works that we should walk in them. In John 3 we see that the
righteous are those whose works are wrought by God. Do you see the
difference? Works of faith which are through the spirit versus works
of flesh which are of the flesh. They are opposite and of different
realms.
Read
context: 1Cr 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the
day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the
fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
10.
“Deny”,” Denying”, “Denied”.
Denying the Lord that bought them...(Apostasy)
Jud
1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of
old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of
our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our
Lord Jesus Christ.
And,
2Peter
2:1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there
shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring
upon themselves swift destruction. 2And many shall follow their
pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil
spoken of. 3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words
make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth
not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
A.
“Deny” to
state that (something declared or believed to be true) is not true:
to deny an accusation. 5. to refuse to recognize or acknowledge;
disown; disavow; repudiate: to deny one's gods. . Obsolete . to
refuse to take or accept.
B.
So many deny or are denying the Lord by what they do or believe. Many
will say, “Lord, Lord”. But they do not do what He
commands. They have not held to what He says or has said in the
scriptures.
11.
“Departing” and “Depart”. (Apostasy)
1Ti
4:1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing
spirits, and doctrines of devils;
A.
DEPART:
1. to go away; leave: . to diverge or deviate (usually followed by
from ): —Synonyms 1. Depart, retire, retreat, withdraw imply
leaving a place. Depart is a somewhat literary word for going away
from a place: to depart on a journey. Retire emphasizes absenting
oneself or drawing back from a place: to retire from a position in
battle. Retreat implies a necessary withdrawal, especially as a
result of adverse fortune in war: to retreat to secondary lines of
defense. Withdraw suggests leaving some specific place or situation,
usually for some definite and often unpleasant reason: to withdraw
from a hopeless task. 4. quit.
12.
Moses or Jesus? Who is your Lawgiver?
A.
Jesus followers follow Jesus. He is the Head of the Church. He is our
Lawgiver. Many have left Jesus for Moses. But Moses spoke of the
coming of Jesus and that the people of God were to follow Him and His
commands. Deu
18:15 ¶ The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from
the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall
hearken; and Dt 18:17-18
B.
New Testament Book of Acts Confirms Jesus replaces Moses as Lawgiver.
Acts
3:22For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord
your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall
ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23And it
shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that
prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
And,
Act
7:37 ¶ This is that Moses, which said unto the children of
Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your
brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
C.
True followers of Jesus follow Jesus not Moses. Paul the apostle told
believers in Jesus that they were dead to the law and were to be
married unto another. Note the analogy of marriage and death of a
partner and being free to remarry. We are dead to the Law of Moses in
that we may remarry properly another named Jesus Christ.
Rom
7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the
body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him
who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto
God.
13.
Men scorched by the sun.
The
7 Vials of the Wrath of God Poured out by the 7 Angels: 1And I heard
a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your
ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. 2And
the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there
fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of
the beast, and upon them which worshiped his image. 3And the second
angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of
a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. 4And the third
angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters;
and they became blood. 5And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou
art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because
thou hast judged thus. 6For they have shed the blood of saints and
prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are
worthy. 7And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God
Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. 8And the fourth angel
poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to
scorch men with fire. 9And men were scorched with great heat, and
blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and
they repented not to give him glory. ...
14.
Listen to What People Say.
A.
Listen
to people's words. Weigh them according to Scripture. Discern. People
are justified or condemned by what they say. Their speech reveals the
truth about them so often. I am hearing professing Christians reveal
their true state by what they say. I believe the Lord is telling me
to tell you to listen to what people say. You can hear their false
gospels. You can hear them speak of their false gods and lusts. You
can hear their boastings and self-agendas. It is amazing.
Mat
12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou
shalt be condemned.
Mat
26:73 And after a while came unto [him] they that stood by, and said
to Peter, Surely thou also art [one] of them; for thy speech
bewrayeth thee.
B.
In recent days I have been amazed by things that were said that led
away from the Lord and encouraged people to trust their own
understanding, the purchases of preparations or other carnal things.
God may lead you to do things; that is one thing. But encouraging
people to rely on these things, efforts or one's own mental abilities
is to become the enemy of the cross of Christ. Trust nothing nor no
one other than the Lord Himself. Cursed is he that puts his trust in
man. Blessed is the one who trusts the Lord. Don't trust yourself
either. Trust the Lord.
15.
Broken or Ground?
LUke
20:17And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written,
The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of
the corner? 18Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken;
but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
A.
Jesus
is the Head of the Church. Woe unto the religious leaders who do not
submit to Him. He is the cornerstone. God is commanding all to repent
and to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
B. Note the
Pharisees and scribes that Jesus rebuked. Note their rebellion and
disdain for the convicting truth He spoke. Their reaction to Jesus'
words was to seek to kill Him.
C. Be broken before the Lord.
Fall upon Him and make Jesus your lord.
D. Woe unto those who
refuse to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Woe unto the
religious leaders who refuse Him that speaks from heaven. They shall
be ground to powder.
